Home again, home again, jiggity jig!

Have made it back to Alaska. **is tired**

Travel started on the 15th at 3am with a bus ride to Dublin, then a 7am Aer Lingus flight to Frankfurt. Let me tell ya, for being an economy class flight, that Aer Lingus jet was perfect. I passed out BEFORE takeoff and didn't wake up until AFTER we landed. YAY.

Spent 24 hours in the Frankfurt International Airport. Not my first choice, but better than a shuttle ride to a hotel... and I was not willing to pay over 250 euros for a room at the hotel across the road. Worked out great though. I scoped out where the Condor check-in counters were, found a bench, and passed out for a while. Then listened to music, read and wrote. I had a circle between the bench, the smoking area, and the bathrooms. No one cared that I stayed there all night, and though I have some funny bruises and am a little sore from sleeping on a bench against a pack, I actually had fun with the whole thing.

11am on the 16th saw me boarding a plane for Whitehorse and Fairbanks. And now I've traveled 10 hours back in time and am home again!

A lot has happened since I've been gone. I'm now the only full time tech at work, and I am also suddenly one of the senior staff members! Also, my schedule has shifted from mostly graveyards to mostly evening shifts, which means that I start at 1700 and get off at 0200, instead of coming on just after midnight. YAY.

More later though. Am tired and need to finish typing up the chapters of Adapting that I wrote while in Frankfurt. Cheers!
