Well, as I have said, I am officially down to my last few days in Northern Ireland. I board a plane in Dublin on the early morning of the 15, spend 24 hours in Frankfurt, and then catch my Condor flight back to Fairbanks! How exciting is that??
Two months may have been a little long, but it really makes one appreciate home. I've seen and learned a lot during this visit, and have many memories and pictures that will always make me smile. But I'll be happy to get home. Back to my life. I'm ready to face the future, to jump in at the deep end, but I cannot do anything until I get back to Fairbanks. Ironic? Maybe a little.
Will be spending the majority of these last few days awake, to make the jet lag easier to overcome. Because of this, I'm sure there will be a lot of writing, both fanfiction and original. As far as preperations to leave go, there isn't much I have to do. Laundry is currently drying, I've checked and double checked my flights, so now I just have to clean the camper trailer I've been living in. Not a huge task.
I hope all my friends at Polaris Con in Toronto are having a blast, and while I'm disappointed I couldn't go, I'm looking forward to Dragon*Con 2010. I have decided that I have to only go to one convention a year, as I would spend way to much money if I did otherwise. I went to Collectormania in Milton Keynes, and while some will argue that it wasn't a convention per se, it was still a blast. And because of this two month trip in the UK, I will not be able to afford next month's Dragon*Con. Espically if I am serious about saving money and moving to Vancouver (which I am). So I have to wait until 2010 for another wonderful con experience.
Anyway, I suppose that's enough for now. Tune in next week when I'm sure to have an exciting edition of Veterinary Technician Theatre!
